Admission to the AMCB Graduate Program
Requirements for entry to the AMCB include a grade point average of 3.0 (on a maximum 4.0 scale), a combined GRE (verbal and quantitative) score of 1000, research/teaching potential and a majority vote of the AMCB faculty. With our current group of AMCB students, the average GPA exceeds 3.0 (average GPA ~3.5). Generally, students identify a major professor before requesting admittance to the AMCB program. It is recommended that students with a potential interest in the AMCB contact one or more AMCB faculty members with similar interests to the student to ascertain level of interest and funding availability. Informal inquiries can also be addressed to Peter Hansen. Application to the AMCB is administered through the University of Florida Graduate School - please go to the UF Graduate School website for details of the admission process. Queries about applications can be addressed to Joann Fischer
